Priyanka Jaju Agrawal - Founder - ALZEA India
For many Indian students, the aspiration to gain international exposure remains difficult to achieve. Internships abroad often require additional skill sets and preparation, making access challenging for many. These challenges become even more pronounced in destinations such as France, where most opportunities require strong French language skills and the cost of living can make access even more difficult for students.
At the same time, there has been a lack of structured, student-centric platforms offering personalised and reliable international opportunities, particularly in the hospitality sector, leaving many students to navigate fragmented services on their own. Recognising these gaps, Priyanka Jaju Agrawal identified an opportunity to create a more accessible and structured pathway for students to gain international exposure, leading to the foundation of ALZEA India.
Coming from a humble middle-class Marwari family, Priyanka developed a strong sense of discipline and ambition. It was during her junior college years at Symbiosis College of Arts and Commerce that her interest in the French language, inspired by her sisters, began to take shape. What started as curiosity soon developed into a deep passion. While pursuing her MBA at Pune University, Priyanka also began teaching French, combining her academic background with her growing linguistic expertise.
With fluency in French, an MBA degree, and a diploma in Travel and Tourism, Priyanka joined ALZEA France as the India Head. In this role, she worked with French students, helping them secure internships in India, guiding them through administrative processes, and organising cultural experiences and study tours. Entrepreneurship, however, had always been a natural inclination. From an early stage, she was drawn to building and creating, whether through business competitions during her MBA or ventures alongside her studies.
During one study tour in Jaipur, she met a group of hotel management students who were curious about the international students visiting their institute. In a simple yet powerful conversation, they shared their aspiration to experience an internship in France, something that, for them, felt like an impossible dream.
The challenges were clear. Most internships required strong French language skills, and the cost of living made such opportunities difficult to access. However, an opportunity emerged within the hospitality sector, where hotels did not always require fluent language proficiency and offered accommodation along with a legally mandated stipend. Bringing together her interests in business strategy, international tourism, and her affinity for the French language and culture, Priyanka Jaju Agrawal, along with Christine Drevet, founder of ALZEA FRANCE, pioneered ALZEA India’s hospitality internship program.
Today, ALZEA India operates independently from ALZEA FRANCE and continues to expand its impact through its partnership with Destiny Calling, creating meaningful international opportunities for Indian students.
ALZEA India and Destiny Calling provide a holistic ecosystem designed to bridge the gap between ambition and international success, offering personalised support to both students and partners. This approach is further strengthened by the core team, where Operations Head Rugved Nanavre ensures a strong student-first execution across processes, while Placement Head Yagna Prakas maintains high standards in sourcing and securing international internship opportunities.
Their key services include:
Focused French language training, along with curated international internships aligned with individual career goals, ensuring meaningful professional growth.
Personalised guidance at every stage, from navigating application processes to supporting students through challenges such as homesickness, combined with transparent communication and informed decision-making.
Comprehensive assistance covering pre-departure preparation, visa processes, and post-internship placement care, supported by a French-proficient team to ensure smooth communication and issue resolution.
Building on over 11 years of experience in guiding students towards international careers, ALZEA India has introduced two structured, all-inclusive internship pathways in 2026, the All-in-One Signature Internship Program and the All-in-One VIP Internship Program along with other base programs they have been offering since 11 years.
Designed for different levels of student readiness and support requirements, these programs reflect the organisation’s broader approach of offering tailored pathways aligned with individual goals, support needs, and desired outcomes. They bring together key elements such as language training, international placements, and continuous mentorship within a structured framework. While the All-in-One Signature Internship Program focuses on building a strong foundation for students beginning their international journey, the All-in-One VIP Internship Program offers a more immersive and closely guided experience, with enhanced levels of personalised support.
These initiatives reflect the organisation’s evolving approach to international education, where the focus extends beyond access to opportunities and towards preparing students to adapt, perform, and grow in global environments.
By focusing on solutions rather than challenges, the organisation has scaled from supporting a small cohort of students to enabling over 820+ individuals to pursue international career pathways, demonstrating the impact of a model built around personalised guidance and long-term student success.
As part of its evolving approach, ALZEA India also integrates elements of wellness and resilience through initiatives such as WILDFIT, recognising that international success goes beyond technical skills.
By focusing on adaptability, mental resilience, and self-management, the organisation prepares students to navigate the challenges of living and working in unfamiliar environments, ensuring they are equipped not just to secure opportunities but also to sustain and grow within them.
Operating in a highly competitive and evolving overseas education landscape, ALZEA India has navigated a range of challenges while steadily scaling its impact.
One of the primary challenges has been building trust in an industry where students and parents often struggle to differentiate between agencies. “There is a clear gap in finding partners who are not only competent but also genuinely transparent and student-focused,” says Priyanka. This has been addressed through consistent delivery, honest communication, and a focus on long-term relationships over short-term outcomes.
Ensuring quality and consistency at scale has been another key area. As the organisation expanded from a small cohort to a larger number of students, maintaining personalised attention became increasingly demanding. This has been managed by strengthening internal processes, investing in team training, and retaining a strong student-first approach.
The dynamic nature of international regulations, visa norms, and market conditions has also required continuous adaptation. By staying proactive, maintaining close relationships with global partners, and keeping up with policy changes, the organisation ensures that students receive accurate and timely guidance.
Managing student expectations while ensuring the right-fit placements remains a nuanced challenge. Not all aspirations align with market realities, making honest counselling and structured mentorship essential in guiding students towards informed and sustainable career decisions.
Additionally, employee attrition has been a recurring challenge, particularly as team members transition through personal milestones such as relocation or other commitments. To address this, the organisation has focused on building strong documentation systems, cross-training teams, and creating a supportive work environment that ensures continuity while also allowing for the integration of fresh talent.
What sets ALZEA India apart in a highly competitive landscape is its ability to combine structure with deep personalisation, ensuring that students experience a seamless and well-guided journey at every stage.
A key differentiator lies in its end-to-end ownership of the process. From initial counselling to internship placement, CV building, visa support, pre-departure preparation, and post-arrival assistance, the organisation offers a fully managed pathway, eliminating the fragmentation that often defines the industry.
Central to this approach is a strong student-first philosophy. Rather than adopting a one-size-fits-all model, each student is guided through a tailored pathway based on their aspirations, strengths, and long-term goals. This begins with in-depth counselling and early-stage eligibility checks, ensuring clarity and minimising challenges later in the process.
As Priyanka explains, “We provide tailor-made guidance rather than a one-size-fits-all solution, ensuring that every student’s journey is aligned with their individual goals.”

The organisation further strengthens this model through its emphasis on transparency and accessibility. Clear communication, realistic expectations, and continuous support ensure that students and their families remain informed and confident throughout the journey.
Its strong international network also plays a critical role, with established relationships across hospitality institutions and global partners enabling consistent access to quality opportunities and reliable outcomes. Beyond placements, the focus remains on preparedness and adaptability. Through language training, cultural orientation, interview preparation, and structured pre-departure support, students are equipped not just to secure opportunities but to succeed in them.
Reflecting on this approach, Priyanka notes, “We go beyond processes to build relationships. From answering late-night calls to supporting students through moments of homesickness, we stand by them as mentors, not just consultants.”
By integrating personalisation, transparency, strong global partnerships, and continuous support, ALZEA India has created a model that prioritises long-term student success while maintaining consistency in outcomes.
Over the years, ALZEA India’s journey has been marked by steady milestones, reflecting both growth and resilience. From operating out of a home office to moving into a commercial space, expanding its team, launching the French-language portal Fluentzea, and building stronger global partnerships, the organisation has continued to evolve while navigating challenges such as the COVID-19 pandemic. Today, with over 820+ students successfully placed abroad, the organisation’s growth reflects not just scale but consistently delivered outcomes driven by a strong service-first approach.
At the core of this growth lies a consistent philosophy of delivering student-focused, ethical, and transparent guidance. Personalised support remains central to the approach, with tailored solutions designed around each student’s aspirations, background, and career goals.
“Success, for us, is rooted in serving students ethically and always acting in their best interest,” says Priyanka.

For the organisation, success is not defined merely by internship placements but by transformation, students gaining confidence, adapting to new environments, and returning with stronger professional and personal capabilities. The journey often comes full circle, with students reconnecting as professionals and, in some cases, becoming recruiters themselves.
Notably, this growth has been driven organically through a consistent focus on delivering an uplifting and student-centric service experience, which continues to build long-term trust in a highly competitive industry.
Sustaining this level of impact requires a strong internal foundation. ALZEA India operates with a close-knit team culture, centred on collaboration, communication, and a shared commitment to student outcomes. By intentionally working with a limited number of students, the organisation ensures consistency in service quality and personalised attention.
Structured systems, clearly defined processes, and continuous team development play a critical role in maintaining operational excellence. Regular reviews and open communication help address challenges proactively, while a positive work environment supports long-term team alignment and performance.
At the same time, the organisation remains responsive to changing global education trends. With increasing emphasis on return on investment, skill-based learning, and international exposure, ALZEA India continuously adapts its offerings to align with evolving student expectations.
“Students today are more informed and outcome-focused, and it is important to guide them with clarity and transparency.”-Priyanka Jaju Agrawal
By staying proactive, leveraging global partnerships, and integrating new opportunities and platforms, the organisation continues to position itself ahead of industry shifts.
The future of overseas education is moving towards greater personalisation, transparency, and outcome-driven experiences. Students today are increasingly focused on return on investment, skill-based learning, and global career pathways, making adaptability and structured guidance more important than ever.
In response to this shift, ALZEA India’s current focus is on creating meaningful internship opportunities by designing programs that are aligned with both individual aspirations and evolving industry requirements. With a strong emphasis on quality over quantity, the organisation continues to ensure that each student receives a well-curated and impactful international experience.
A key strategic priority is the launch of its All-in-One VIP Internship Program; a highly exclusive offering designed for students who are committed to building a successful international career. Going beyond a standard internship model, the program is structured to prepare students for the realities of living and working abroad, equipping them with the mindset, adaptability, and resilience required to thrive in global environments.
The program integrates multiple layers of preparation, including French language training, direct mentorship from the founder, wellness and resilience initiatives such as WILDFIT, and continuous personalised guidance. This approach ensures that students are not only professionally prepared but also equipped to navigate cultural, emotional, and practical challenges that often impact their international experience.
With a highly selective intake of 20 students per year, the program is designed to maintain its personalised and premium nature. Through structured training and close mentorship, the focus remains on enabling a deeper transformation, helping students become more adaptable, confident, and industry-ready, while significantly enhancing their long-term employability.
At the same time, the organisation is expanding its global pathways, strengthening its presence across Europe while introducing new opportunities through initiatives such as its Japan program and Italy program in collaboration with Destiny Calling. This reflects a continued effort to stay aligned with emerging destinations and evolving student preferences.
Drawing from her journey and experience in building a student-focused global platform, Priyanka Jaju Agrawal shares her perspective on building in the overseas education space.
“The overseas education space is a great space, and if you focus on service, there is enough opportunity for everyone. But it is not as easy as it may appear from the outside. You have to build your foundation on trust and authenticity, because this industry deals with students’ dreams, families’ investments, and life-changing decisions. If you focus only on transactions, you may grow quickly, but not sustainably.
It is important to develop deep expertise, because regulations, visa processes, and international partnerships are constantly evolving. Knowledge becomes your biggest differentiator. At the same time, you have to prioritise student experience over aggressive sales, because word-of-mouth and referrals come from genuinely supporting students, not just enrolling them.
Building strong global partnerships is equally important, as your network defines the quality of opportunities you can offer. Along with that, investing in your team and creating the right culture is critical, because your team becomes your strongest asset. You also need to be prepared for operational challenges and delayed outcomes; this space requires patience and long-term thinking.
Most importantly, you have to differentiate with purpose. You need to understand what gap you are solving and truly listen to your students. When you understand their problems, they trust you, and that trust defines your brand.”
For students aspiring to study, intern, or build careers abroad, her advice centres on clarity, preparation, and mindset:
“Approach this journey with clarity, preparation, and the right mindset. Be very clear about your goals; don’t go abroad just because it’s trending. Understand what you want to study, what you want to do and how it aligns with your long-term plans.
Choose the right country, course, and institution based on your profile, budget, and aspirations, not just rankings or peer influence. At the same time, invest in skill-building, not just degrees. International exposure values adaptability, communication, and cultural awareness as much as academic qualifications.
You also need to be financially and emotionally prepared. Living abroad comes with responsibilities, and being mentally ready makes the transition smoother. Start early, stay organised, and plan your applications, documentation, and timelines carefully.
Most importantly, seek guidance from the right mentors or organisations. The right support system can make a significant difference in ensuring that your journey is smooth, safe, and truly enriching.
Interning abroad is not just a line on your CV; it is a transformative life experience. It pushes you out of your comfort zone, builds resilience, and helps you grow in ways that go far beyond professional learning. In the end, it’s not just about where you go; it’s about who you become in the process.”
