The start-up took about six months to conceive andactualize. During his long years of association with the Pharmaceutical andDrug Discovery Industry, Narendra came across a significant level ofbureaucracy and a high level of redundancy in the process of drug discovery anddevelopment. His interactions with the cream of scientific talent acrossthe world gave him a sense of the challenges they faced in the process. Theseconversations made Narendra challenge his thought process and come witheffective and efficient systems to enable the team to deal with theuncertainties associated with the process in a much more enabled manner. A fewof Narendra's senior colleagues in the industry who are incidentally based bothin the US and in India joined him in this endeavor to get Kemio off the groundand progress it further.
