Click Basis: When you are running any banner on your website and the cost calculation is based on the number of times your banner is clicked by the visitors of your website. It generally calculates on CPC, Cost per click.

Lead Basis: When you are running any banner or link on your website and the cost calculation is based on the number of inquiries generated by filling the contact form after clicking on an advertisement or any link. It generally calculates on CPL, Cost per lead basis.

Sale Basis: When you are running any banner or link on your website and the cost calculation is based on the number of transactions/sales basis. It generally calculates on CPA, Cost per acquisition basis.

Now, to monetize your website, you should go for Google Adsense, initially, google will not give you AdSense approval, but there are various alternatives to Google Adsense, Amazon Associates, Shaadi Affiliate, Bigrock Affiliate, Flipkart Affiliate Infolinks, Chitika, etc.

You have to go to the respective website and login you will get the links & tags, and you need to copy and paste the links where you want to display ads on your website.
