HostingDuty: making the online world safer and secure
Cyber-security is the growing concern in the widespread online community. One would often come across news about cyber-attacks frequently. A popular American TV series Mr. Robot has re-imagined the cybersecurity threat to the institutions among the netizens. Recent news of data breach in Facebook of its 50million users has again alarmed the online community. By the history of these Data breaches, one can easily infer that government/ Public initiatives are not sufficed to counter this impending threat. On a lazy and lonely afternoon of January 2015, while Ninad was making a web server on his old computer system with staggering 512kbps home broadband along with his friend. They gave their earnest efforts on the server configuration for three straight months and were ready to sell the internet space, but the efforts went in vain for another three months. So Ninad started working on designing websites and then uploading the final product on his own server. This continued to his fourth year of Engineering, and by the end of it, he successfully managed to host 300 websites.
Our editorial team spoke Ninad, the CEO of the firm to know more about HostingDuty and himself. Here are the edited excerpts…
What are the products and services offered under the organization's hat?
We primarily host websites and mobile applications on the array of Shared Hosting, Dedicated Hosting, Virtual Private Servers, WordPress hosting, Business Hosting, SSL Certificates, Website Builder, and Email Security.
What stands as the key differentiators of the organization?
In my opinion, our customer support makes us stand apart from other organizations. Our primary focus is to provide personalized support to our clients while striving hard to maintain transparency. I believe in every aspect of life trust is the most important thing of all. In business, the trust develops from the transparency, and we never hide any details from our clients.
What are the most effective marketing initiatives or programs you have used in promoting your services?
We haven't done any marketing campaign as such. The quality of our products speaks for themselves. We believe a happy customer brings more customers to us. At the moment we solely depend upon mouth to mouth publicity and social media.
Please share us something about Investors and Investment.
Our firm is totally bootstrapped, since its inception for the first time we are looking for investors to invest in our latest venture called 'VenuBox.' The idea about VenuBox, an event management app, was stuck in our minds from a very long time. We started to work on its development in August 2017. We have used some of the most advanced technologies like NodeJS, and React Native to build this application, and now it's ready to hit the market.
What are the major milestones for the company since founding? Does the organization have any new projects coming up?
We actually haven't set up any milestone yet. Working with Uber for a short website project, getting an opportunity to build Apps for Legasis or managing Clean India Group's IT Infrastructure cane considered as Milestones. As I said earlier, we are coming up with a new App called "VenuBox" which I believe, could be a game changer, for small and medium scale events.
Awards, Milestones and Accolades
What is next for the company? What do you see happening in the company industry in 2018-19?
With so much of technological disruption, the digital technology has really made the industry very dynamic. Early 2018 saw a sluggish period in the overall market. But since October, the market has started gaining momentum. We are further planning to host 3000 websites, and plans are in motion to design 50 Apps in the coming year.
What is your favourite aspect of being an entrepreneur.
As an entrepreneur, I get the opportunity to touch the lives of many individuals entering the field which helps me to transform the workplace and the way my team operates.
What piece of advice would you give to youth in the business environment?
I believe that I can give better suggestions rather than going with the advice part. I would say work hard and not giving up on your dreams is the key to sustain. There will be times when one may feel low or frustrated, but one must remember why one started in the first place.
How do you learn in your life and what is your biggest dream? Who are your peers?
Self-experiences and advice from people who are more experienced, and have seen more world than mine are my greatest teachers. My biggest dream is to make this company a multi-billion-dollar company and provide jobs to as many individuals as possible.
What is the hardest thing about being an entrepreneur?
I think the hardest thing would be the responsibility towards your associates. It is the responsibility of the entrepreneur to look after them, financially as well as on emotional grounds. The happiness of associates motivates them to achieve that extra mile for you which separates you and your competitors. Everything depends upon your associates, if they are happy ultimately your customer becomes happy and when the customer is happy you too are happy.
What is the best thing about being an entrepreneur?
I think the faster learning curve is the best thing that can happen to an entrepreneur. The speed of learning becomes astonishingly fast. The lessons and experiences which would have taken decades to learn came to me while being an entrepreneur. Now I am able to gauge people's reaction. It is now easy to distinguish between a genuine buyer or window shoppers. Being an entrepreneur helped me imbibe a multifold understanding of taxation, accounts, and management in spite of being a computer engineer.
